With the start of the basketball season the next few weeks I will focus on tips to increase your tools available to handicap a game both from a side and total perspective.

Like with all sports your work begins on draft day to prepare for the upcoming season. Go through each teams off-season roster moves. Read everything you can from each teams local papers throughout the training camp and preseason period.

Make notes on which teams you feel have improved which teams have taken steps backward.Start to form thoughts on what type of personality each team is going to take on. Will they be run and gun, defensive oriented etc etc. Key in on the head coach and the point guard. The point guard in basketball is no different than the quarterback in football.Everything runs through him and he is the key in determining pace.

Develop your list of bet "on" teams and bet "against" teams given the right line and circumstances to start the season. Keep updating your list over the first month. What conclusions from your initial notes were correct and what proved to
be incorrect. Make adjustments and revisions as you move forward.

We have 1 day left for Week 44 of our sports betting year.Unfortunately we are experiencing our worst run of the year with 1 win in our last 9 plays. We are also having our worst NCAAF season so far in over 12 years.Losing streaks far worse
than this are inevitable on a yearly basis. I wish you could avoid them but you cannot. Even with over 20 years experience they are no fun but most importantly I know how to handle them. Hard work, discipline, patience, are the key and believe me
it will turn.Continue to practice proper money management ( do not fluctuate your unit up or down ) and this bad streak WILL turn into a blip in the rear view mirror.
