We are always looking for ways to improve the website and information to our users. On that note courtesy of 5dimes we now have a live scoreboard. If you go to the home page underneath the grapevine scroll you will see this addition. When games are in progress you will be able to see live scores, the remaining time left in the game and also the probabilities of the home team to win the game. Simply click on the sport of your choice on the tabs above to take you to the games of your choice.

Stay away from parlays, prop bets, first half second half bets, or any other wild options where the enticement is risk a little to win a bunch. The ONLY bets in this area you will see me make is 6 point teasers in the NFL where I am able to buy points taking me through the key numbers of 3 and 7. Also in MLB you will see me make on occasion a 5 inning bet to take the bullpens out of play. Forget about buying points or any other crazy options unless you just want to hand over your money to the sports books.

One of the most common and biggest problems many sports bettors have is called “chasing”. How many times do you lose an early game on the menu and then search and search to find late games regardless of value to bet on to try and make up for your early loss. Not only do some bet on games they normally would not but they also increase their unit digging the hole even deeper.

If you approach this endeavor for a little fun a hobby entertainment while you are watching the games on television; there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. However, if you want to make money, than you must approach sports betting as a job. A GREAT job but none the less a job. Each game is a business deal that you will either do or pass on. A knowledgeable businessman should research each deal on its merits and then decide. Going into a business deal without fully researching all the information and circumstances will result in a bad business.

We have reached the end of the first quarter of 2012. It has been a very successful start to our year as we enter the marathon called Major League Baseball. Our R.O.I. presently sits at 11.087%. For those of you not familiar R.O.I. stands for Return on Investment. This statistic along with +/- units and +/- $ is essential to track for your records on a weekly basis. It should be split by sport and overall.
