Their ranking along with those results against very weak competition has them over valued for tonight. Penn St at home will keep this close. Penn St. has a very good defense.

Kentucky Wildcats over Mississippi State Bulldogs: We have an undefeated team off a bye on the road against an unranked opponent. Take nothing away from Miss St. even though surprising they are legit and deserve the #1 ranking in the country.

Boston College Eagles over Clemson Tigers: Whenever possible love playing home dogs vs. a ranked opponent. The visitor is most often overvalued as is the case here. NO doubt Clem has a very good defense but so does BC. This will be the 1st road game for Clem in a month. Clem starting QB Watson is out with a broken hand so Stoudt will be at the helm and that is a substantial downgrade.

Kansas State Wildcats over Oklahoma Sooners: Big showdown in the big 12. Kst comes in off a bye having had 2 weeks to prepare for this game. Okl obviously is a very good team with an excellent offense. However the big difference between these teams is on the defensive side.

Washington Huskies over California Golden Bears: Teams like Cal flashy high scoring teams are ones that get the attention of the public hence usually overvalued. There is no doubt Cal has a very good offense. In fact they have been involved in 3 straight track meet shootouts. Wash is off a bye.

New Mexico Lobos over San Diego State Aztecs: NM has played a tougher schedule than SDST. NM relies heavily on their excellent ground game. Look for them to control the clock and the ball with sustained drives.

Mississippi State Bulldogs over Texas A/M Aggies: This is a really difficult spot for Tex a/m. They come off an emotional OT win at home against Ark ST. Now they have to take to the road to face the best defense they will have faced so far this year.

Iowa State Cyclones over Baylor Bears: Bay is a high ranked team coming off a bye and an offense equal to the ducks. Play fast score fast put up huge points. However having said all that this is a huge amount of road points to be spotting a IowaSt team that is feisty has a decent defense and can hang around in this game for some time.

Missouri Tigers over South Carolina Gamecocks: Both teams come in off bad performances. Both teams likely looking ahead to this one. However S. Car was able to pull out the win Miss was not and this gives us value for today.

Washington Huskies over Stanford Cardinals: Simply too many points to be spotting on the road against Wash. This has nothing to do with the Wash 4-0 start. It has come against weak competition.
