New England Patriots over Baltimore Ravens: Let us not over think his one. It is rare that you can get value on Ne. I do not hesitate to bet against them when they are over valued and will play on them when we can get a price. Balt is off a bye the hype is on Qb Jackson. Yes he can run but his throwing leaves much to be desired. Balt is ranked 20th in pass offense 1st in rush offense. First off Ne is very good at stopping the run ranked 4th and look for Belichick to create many confusing looks for Jackson to have to deal with.
Philadelphia Eagles over Buffalo Bills: Looks like a windy wet game day for Buff in a game that will likely be low scoring. Phil presents a buy low opportunity. Consecutive road losses to Minn and than Sun night to Dall as Phil had 4 turnovers. Buff is 5-1 straight up but always risky laying points with weak offenses. Buff has played the 31st ranked strength of schedule only NE has played an easier SOS. I have this game at 1.5 giving us excellent value.
Carolina Panthers over San Francisco 49er’s: Car lost their first 2 of the year and has now won 4 in a row since Allen has taken over at QB. Allen has not been spectacular but he has ben steady and he has not thrown an interception. When you have a potential MVP in McCaffrey that obviously helps. Car provides an excellent pass rush and they are 2nd in the league for sacks. SF has injuries along the offensive line and this will be an issue throughout the game. Garoppolo has ben OK but nothing great as the SF rush attack has been excellent.
New York Giants over Arizona Cardinals: Ariz has won 2 in a row over Cinci and Atl who are a combined 1-11. Nyg have extra rest/prep off a Thurs night loss to NE. Barkley is expected to return and go up against a 26th ranked rush defense of Ariz. Although CB Peterson will return for Ariz they are the only team to not have an interception yet. Nyg has played the 12th strength of schedule while Ariz comes in at 26th. Ariz travels east with an early start. I have this game at 4.5 giving us excellent value.
New York Jets over New England Patriots: Divisional road game spotting double digits on Monday night football. That sums up the Patriots where you always pay a premium if you bet on this team given their success and reputation. No the return of Darnold does not turn the Nyj into a contender. However it does give them a spark and renewed energy especially off last weeks win over Dall. We will get a full effort out of Nyj for this game in prime time. The back door should remain wide open if necessary.
Jacksonville Jaguars over New Orleans Saints: The No stock is high with wins over Sea, Dall and Tb. No has Chic up next so they could get caught looking ahead. Bridgewater had a good game against Tb but their pass defense is ranked last. Jax lost lat week in Car with a -3 turnover margin. Look for a heavy dose of Fournette which should open up play action for Minshew. I have this game at 3.5 giving us excellent value.
Los Angeles Rams over San Francisco 49er’s: Let us start with the fact Sf is a very good team not great. They are 4-0 mostly on the success of their ground game where they are ranked #1. However now they are facing injuries to the offensive line and FB which will make the rush offense more challenging. The football world watched Monday night as Sf destroyed an over-rated Clev team. Now on a short week they travel to take on a Lar team which has lost 2 in a row. A clunker to Tb and a game they should have won in Sea on Thurs night has the Lar stock low.
Minnesota Vikings over New York Giants: This is your typical buy low sell high situation. Minn stock is low. Cousins is getting roasted Thielen and Diggs are complaining with the 31st ranked pass offense. Look for them to get well today against a Nyg 25th ranked pass defense. What is being overlooked Rb Cook has rebounded nicely this year from injury leading a 3rd ranked rush offense going up against a Nyg 19th ranked rush defense. That brings us to the Nyg who have won 2 in row under Jones. The hype is on loud.
Green Bay Packers over Dallas Cowboys: Both teams are off their 1st losses of the year. Gb lost to Phil at home with a -2 turnover. That was a Thurs night game so Gb gets extra rest prep time for this one. Dall lost on the road to NO on Sunday night so for them this will be a short week. Dall scored 10 in this game and it was the first decent defense they have faced. In fact Dall has played early on the easiest strength of schedule in the NFL. OT Smith is out for Dall and this will hurt. Gb does need to shore up their rush defense but the extra time should help this issue.
Los Angeles Rams over Seattle Seahawks: Yes it is Thursday night and the Lar are on the road but it is a short trip. Lar stock is way down after giving up 55 at home to Tb. Goff is struggling however they still have the 4th ranked pass off going up against a Sea pass defense ranked 16th. Sea at 3-1 is a false favorite even at home. While Lar have played the 6th ranked strength of schedule Sea comes in at 28th. I have this game at pick giving us excellent value.
