Nj has been hit hard by injuries. We also get a huge adv in net with Lehner vs. Schneider and his .852 save %. Schneider has not started a game in 2 months. This will be an especially early start time for a west coast team not used to playing days games to begin with. We get a med adv in net with Hart over Talbot. Tampa Bay Lightning over New York Islanders 1st 60 minutes ONLY: Nyi arguably the biggest pleasant surprise to date in the NHL. They have especially played well on the defensive side. However under the hood their analytics do not support their current record. Tonight they will likely take the best shot from Tb. Nyi have been off 9 days. Tb has played 1 game since the break. They lost 4-2 in Pitts. They were the better team the last 2 periods but Tb was also coming off their break and had a bad 1st period.
Winnipeg Jets over Boston Bruins 1st 60 minutes ONLY: Winn played last night and lost in Phil in a game that could have went either way. Now on to Bost tonight. I expect Bost to be flat at least for the 1st period. Bost has not played in 10 days. I have Bost at 1.20 giving us a huge overlay.
New York Islanders over Chicago Blackhawks 1st 60 minutes ONLY: Nyi have won 5 in a row. Propelled by a strong defense. 9 out of their last 12 games they have given up 2 or less goals. Both teams will head to their break after this one. Chic is ranked last at home on defense. Nyi are ranked 2nd on the road defensively. WE also get a big adv in net Lehner save % 930 while Ward comes in at .884. I have this game at 1.66 giving us excellent value.
Winnipeg Jets over Dallas Stars 1st 60 minutes ONLY: Both teams will head to their break after this one. Dall has been home for a week and that is never a good thing especially when you are struggling. Dall has lost 4 in a row and in those losses have scored a total of 3 goals. Dall is 8-10 vs. top 10 teams. I have this game at 1.19 giving us excellent value.
Boston Bruins over Philadelphia Flyers 1st 60 minutes ONLY: Phil continues to struggle. Talent on this team yes but especially on the defensive side they are a mess. 27th ranked at home. Theses teams are a wash offensively but Bost on the road is ranked 5th defensively. Phil is 2-8 in their last 10. I have this game at 1.59 giving us excellent value.
Pittsburgh Penguins over Los Angeles Kings 1st 60 minutes ONLY: We get a favorable line because Pitts played last night in Ana and worked hard for the win. Pitts fell behind 3-0 after 1 and dominated the 2nd and 3rd. First off Murray had an off night giving up a couple of soft goals. Pitts had 2 days off prior to the win last night. It will be a short trip from Ana to La where they face another offensively challenged team with worse goaltending. Lak are ranked 30th at home on offense and 23rd on defense.
Pittsburgh Penguins over Anaheim Ducks 1st 60 minutes ONLY: Pitts is 9-1 in their last 10 and will start a 5 game road trip taking them up to all star break. Ana has lost 9 in a row and continue to struggle big time to score goals. They are dead last in home offense. Gibson will need to have a huge game for this match up to be competitive. It is possible however at this price it is worth the risk. Pitts is ranked 4th offensively on the road and 2nd defensively. Murray as mentioned previously is on a huge roll.
