If you do your own handicapping please make sure you do not rely on your friends, peers, talking heads on TV, or anyone else for that matter to help you make your betting selections. Consensus decision making does not work in conventional business and it especially does not work in this business.
A strong leader will gather as much objective information as he can and then make a decision. The same holds true for this business. If someone is on the opposite side or on the same side as you is irrelevant. As long as you have not missed any KEY IMPORTANT OBJECTIVE information and you have found value in the line bet your play and let the chips fall where they may.
If you do not have the knowledge, experience or time to do your own handicapping than follow the picks of ONE person you trust have faith in and who has a proven track record. Follow someone that does not charge for picks and when you do follow that individual you MUST bet all the picks or none. You cannot pick and choose the ones you bet miss bets or skip days. Otherwise you are exposing yourself to luck and randomness.
Most importantly stay away from “know it all’s”. I do not know it all; I do not have all the answers. A winning gambler is always looking to improve. The games change and evolve and so does the marketplace. It is important to constantly be adapting to changing times staying one step ahead of the market place. I have extreme confidence in my handicapping abilities I remain open minded and KNOW I will continue to be profitable long term despite the inevitable bad stretches.
