The last 2 days have been quiet however we will be back at it today. We will attempt to add to our current runs which now stand at 6 wins in a row 10 out of the last 11 and overall 21-8 ( 72.4%).

This week I invite you to the website click on betting tips and review the latest article called “Successful Sports Bettors have Multiple Sports Book Accounts”.

The article deals with the importance of shopping for the best lines possible for EVERY bet. You will find mathematical examples of the substantial impact to your bottom line IF you deal with at least 3 preferably 5 sports books regardless of the dollar value of your unit. To be blunt if you are not shopping effectively you are throwing money down the toilet and have NO chance to succeed long term.

This week we will focus on some points relating to NCAAB. Early in the season you want to look for teams that have had low turnover of key personnel.Also look for teams that have participated in a summer tournament. These teams will be well ahead of the curve in terms of chemistry,experience and having played together. Look for teams that have a strong experienced point guard.This is the equivalent to a quarterback in football.

A 4-2 Saturday moves our current run to 15-9 ( 62.5%) It has been a rough NCAAF season to date which historically is our second highest sport for R.O.I. however we have also started to turn those results around in a big way.Plenty of season still to go.

We were able to follow up our 2-0 Friday with a 4-2 Saturday and now try and move this little run forward.

Continuing with NBA handicapping.The long NBA season is filled with injuries.Pay attention to the injuries that matter ignore the injuries that are irrelevant.The public generally over reacts when a high profile player goes down.However when key role players go down or their are cluster injuries at one particular position you generally do not see the necessary impact on the line.

With the start of the basketball season the next few weeks I will focus on tips to increase your tools available to handicap a game both from a side and total perspective.

Like with all sports your work begins on draft day to prepare for the upcoming season. Go through each teams off-season roster moves. Read everything you can from each teams local papers throughout the training camp and preseason period.

We have added another new feature to the website. Every Sunday morning email betting tip will now be posted and found on the home page in the right hand margin called Rick Steel's grapevine.If you click on the title or the individual betting tip it will open up a separate window of the R.S.S. feed documenting all the prior e-mails.
