~Consistency is our friend~
A 3-1 Saturday moves our current run to 13-6 (68.4%) and the longer term streak moves on to a sizzling 44-25 (63.8%).
Just a reminder again tonight on 60 minutes there will be a feature segment on Billy Walters one of the biggest sports bettors ever. Keep in mind Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. day with many potential day games that may qualify as part of our portfolio.Stay tuned.
We have been on a consistently excellent solid run for the past 3 months. We continue to grind away generating profits and storing units for an eventual down turn. However the immediate goal is to obviously extend this run for as long as possible. Most important we have been able to avoid any type of pro-longed losing streak. In the past 3 months our worst day has been an 0-2 and our worst run a 1-4.
What is the biggest mistake poker players make? Play too many hands.
What is the biggest mistake sports bettors make? Play too many games.
If you are on a hot streak should you play more games? Of course not. That hot streak will turn ice cold very quickly when you start forcing plays because you THINK you cannot lose. Value, value, value. Do not make marginal bets because you are running good. All your bets should be based on OBJECTIVE independent analysis and be fully researched before making a final decision. Of course I lose my share of plays based on bad reads, turnovers, bad ref calls etc. However I can honestly say it never has and never will be EVER the case because I missed a piece of relevant key information.
Remember the famous line in the first Wall Street movie. “ Greed is good “ In this business it is a killer. Believe it or not more people bust out during a good streak than a bad streak. How is that possible? Easy they double they triple their unit without the bankroll. They give back 3 months worth of hard work and profits in the span of a 1 week negative run. All in the name of greed. Never never increase your unit up or down until you have increased your bankroll by at least 50%.
Never RISK more than 2% of your bankroll on any play. You cannot extract more money out of this business than you deserve.
