Entertainment/Hobby vs. Business 04/27/14 (more...)

If you approach this endeavor as having a little fun a hobby wanting a few bucks on the game while watching it on TV absolutely nothing wrong with that. However if you want to make substantial money turn a profit year after year than sports betting must be approached as a business. A GREAT business in my opinion but none the less a business. As with any business you need an investment (it takes some money to make money) and you need discipline.
Each game is a business deal that you will either participate in or pass on. A knowledgeable businessman always researches each deal on its’ merits and then decides. Going into a business deal without fully researching ALL the information and circumstances will result in a bad business.
RISK the same amount of money on EVERY business deal. There are no locks there are no 5 star 10 star ranking systems that work. If you use some type of star system fairly soon you are going to be sleeping under the stars. If you like 1 game and you kinda like 2 other games why even the bet the other 2 games. Yes the more games bet the better but you must have value you must have an edge. If you are an action junkie you are in the wrong business.
