Good bettors are going to get “unlucky” sometimes for extended periods of time. Accept it handle it and move on. The bad beats do not even out. The better bets you make the more unlucky you will be. You will be on the right side more than the wrong side and win because of your handicapping. Therefore the short term luck factor can only work against you.
This is very difficult for some bettors to accept especially when the bad beats come in a flurry. Bad referee calls, turnovers, bullpen blowing lead, bad penalties, losing in the last minute etc etc. How you handle these beats will determine your long term success in this business. I know it is much easier to say than do but you really have to let these tough beats roll of you and move on to the next menu. Do not let it affect your future handicapping or worse allow you to go on “tilt” to borrow a poker term. Just realize it is the tax we pay a sort of cost of doing business.
