It has been a lousy start to the MLB season .The key word “start”. In my 20+ years of doing this I have NEVER started any season of any sport as tough as this one has been. I have also NOT had a losing MLB season in 13 years and do not intend to have one this year.
So far in our small sample size to start the season what could go wrong has gone wrong. No lead has been safe and a 1-0 deficit in the 1st inning has been insurmountable. It has been bad beat after bad beat. Believe me this is NOT whining or making excuses that would be useless. It would not do any good as you know; there is no mercy in this business.
I know with certainty based on my substantial track record this will turn. Believe it or not there is not 1 play that I would change from the bets we made in the MLB season so far. The handicapping, the reads have been solid the results NOT. If there were many bad reads I would be concerned but that has not been the case. We stay the course keep betting the games with the advantages and edges we have based on line value and the profits WILL follow.
It is gut wrenching, tough mentally and no fun at all when you spend the hours I spend daily on this with negative results. However even during runs like this I keep my focus on the big picture and get through it. I feel lucky even during the difficult times, able to work on a daily basis at something I am passionate about. I am confident that when we look back on the MLB season this will just be a blip on the overall sample size magnified only because it occurred right at the start of the season.
Time for patience time for discipline time for WINNERS !
