Responsibility 04/14/13 (more...)

Keep accurate records of your bets, the logic behind your bets and the results of your bets. Did you win based on solid handicapping? Did the game play out the way you thought it would? Did you win on luck this time it will happen or did you sustain a bad beat. Be honest with yourself. If you do not keep accurate records of ALL your wagers you will lie to yourself. It is just human nature we have selective memories.
Accept the fact bad beats are inevitable everyone experiences them they will never go away and they do NOT even out.
Sports betting is a very complicated decision making process. Anytime I hear someone being overly confident about a bet is the time I tune them out. There are NO locks! Or game of the year. Do not become overly emotional invested in a random number of games. How you handle defeat and losing streaks goes a long way to determining your success in this business.
The best hitters in baseball fail 7 out of every 10 times at bat. The best in this business fail 45 out of every 100. I do not try and fight it you cannot beat the laws of probability. However at 55% you are making a substantial profit long term.
Sweat the games as they are taking place I do, once the results are in take 5 minutes to celebrate or complain and then learn from it and move on.
