Streaks Good and Bad 05/15/2011(more...)

~Streaks Good and Bad~April was a tough month for us. We got off to an unprecedented bad start to the MLB season. May has us on a good streak. We are currently on an excellent 10-2 (83.3%) run. Remember both situations are small sample sizes and just part of the cycles that take place during the course of a year.

We will likely end the year in our expected ROI range of 3-7% return on total dollars bet. Realize I am never as smart as I look while we are on a great run and I am never as dumb as I look during a bad streak.

Remember there is no such thing as being “in” a good streak. You can only know when you have just “had” a good streak. You will never know when it begins or ends until after the fact. So on that note stay smart and always practice correct money management. Believe it or not more people go BUST during a good run than a bad run.

Never RISK more than 2% of your bankroll on any play. Never fluctuate your bets and ONLY increase your unit when you have either increased your bankroll via more money invested or from your sports betting profits; when you have increased your bankroll by a minimum of 50%.

How you handle the ups and downs of this business both monetarily and mentally will determine your long term success. Realize how you handle the “ups” is just as important as how you handle the “downs”.
