Money Management

Correct money management is easy to explain. For most it is impossible to follow. I have known some very, very good handicappers all broke and out of the business because they cannot follow proper money management principles. Double-up systems, star betting, the Kelly Criterion etc all have the same thing in common. They negatively affect cash flow and raise the break-even percentage that must be accomplished.

SHARP BETTORS

Many bettors really do not seem to care very much about earning a long term profit. They like to have some action on games as a form of recreation or excitement, not as an investment decision. Professional handicappers WILL NEVER bet into a bad line. You must recognize the value of the half point. On an average college basketball Saturday there are at least 10-14 games that are won or lost against the spread by a point or less. The pro bettor will be on the right side of these decisions more often than not.

TIMELY INFORMATION CRITICAL TO SUCCESS

I am often asked, “Why do you send out numerous new pick alerts almost every day?”
Why not do what 99% of the other so called "experts" do regardless if they are charging thousands of dollars for their picks, or for the few that offer them up for free. Send out ALL the plays around 11am and be done with it. I can tell you it would make my life a whole lot easier. I will NEVER do this because I would be doing you a disservice. No professional level handicapper books his own plays in this fashion so why should I coach you to do so.

Being the Team

Sports Betting as a Business

Today's professional level sports bettors are not what most people believe them to be. No real pro expects easy profits or 75% winners. Most sports touts make their living selling their worthless picks to people expecting instant wealth.1 star, 100 star, locks of the century, mortgage your house pick; all marketing methods to separate you from your money. These people DO NOT actually bet for a living; they make their money by peddling their picks.
