A Trustworthy Handicapper. Finding One? 10/26/14 (more...)

Finding a trustworthy handicapper; is there such a thing? What happens if you do not have the time or knowledge or experience to adequately participate in this business on your own. Perhaps you want to increase your win % you want to increase your library of handicapping tools etc.
Well the task is not much different than finding a stock broker or financial consultant with experience a plan a proven track record. Someone you can learn from shorten your learning curve help you avoid mistakes. Someone who is transparent someone that tells it like it is with reasonable expectations.
Most important someone that DOES NOT charge for his picks. This person is NOT a sports bettor. He does not make his money from sports betting. He makes his money from marketing and selling his picks. At best he is a TOUT at worst he is a scamdipper. Why would you risk YOUR money on those picks if that person is not even risking his own money? In my opinion the minute someone starts charging for picks there is a conflict of interest between posting a pick and value. Regardless of value that person makes money by offering picks so their judgment is already clouded.
I cannot tell you the number of people weekly that contact me about horror stories how they were misled ripped off by false misleading lying marketers promoting unrealistic expectations and results.
Here is a partial list of what you should look for if you are trying to decide on somebody to follow. Historical accurate records, honesty, integrity, can you contact them, do they reply, NO games or locks of the year. Are they setting you up with reasonable expectations based on sound money management principles?
Lastly if you are going to follow somebody you cannot cherry pick you cannot miss plays. If you do you are leaving too much to chance. You must play ALL that person’s plays and be prepared to ride the ups downs that come with this business for everyone.
