Most handicappers who market their picks make the picks available by early morning. Think about this why do they do this ? To make more money that is correct. Are you getting the best line if you are betting these picks, are you getting the most up to date information on this game. Of course not ! However it does make the touts lives a whole lot easier.

I promised when I started the website that the only way I would do it is if there was a way to let people know based on the best line and the best information to bet a game. That is how the email alerts were invented. So you can bet like the pros. Sometimes betting a game early sometimes betting a game close to start time.

With the continued exponential growth of users on the site it is taking longer and longer for some users to receive their email alerts notifying them of new picks posted to the site. Times I have heard range from 5 minutes to 3 hours from the time I send out the alert. Regardless of whatever email system we use to send out the alerts, because of the quantity of email addresses we are sending out to at the same time these potential delays of delivery will continue to occur if not get worse.

In an attempt to stave off problems in the future especially in the fall where on the weekends we can have 4-5 alerts per day I highly recommend you sign up and follow me on Twitter (www.twitter.com/ricksteel99) or Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Professional-Sports-Handicapping/125983837440887?v=wall). The average time you will wait to get the alert on your handheld via Twitter or Facebook will be 5-10 minutes.

This is the best way for you to take advantage of my picks. Move to the front of the train get the jump on everyone else and avoid betting in to stale lines with the absolute most accurate up to date information.
