Streaks Good and Bad 05/15/2011(more...)

~Streaks Good and Bad~April was a tough month for us. We got off to an unprecedented bad start to the MLB season. May has us on a good streak. We are currently on an excellent 10-2 (83.3%) run. Remember both situations are small sample sizes and just part of the cycles that take place during the course of a year.

We will likely end the year in our expected ROI range of 3-7% return on total dollars bet. Realize I am never as smart as I look while we are on a great run and I am never as dumb as I look during a bad streak.

Pearls of Wisdom 05/08/2011(more...)

* Ego, most people in this business have one. It is the loud obnoxious ones that know the least. I did not invent sports betting. However I do adapt I am open to new ideas, I am confident in my ability to handicap and I have prospered in this business over the long term. Remember you are only as good as your last play.

* Re-evaluate teams on a regular basis. Teams go through changes ups and downs over a long season. The public is slow to react to these cycles that even the top echelon teams go through.

Sports Fans vs Sports Bettors 05/01/2011(more...)

Sports fans are emotionally involved in the outcome of a game .Sports bettors are financially involved in the outcome of a game. Sports bettors avoid wasting time and energy on stupid arguments like which player or which team is better. Who should be traded who should be fired or benched. If you are interested in those issues call sports talk radio or go to a bar with your buddies; none of those topics or issues are going to help you with your handicapping.

Tidbits 04/24/2011(more...)

We have won our last 4 in a row as well the NHL series bets coming down to the wire.

* Be calculating be deliberately decisive in your handicapping after analyzing ALL the objective information of a match up.

* Never let personal problems effect your handicapping. This business is tough enough you must perform with a clear mind.

* Always practice proper money management procedures thereby being able to withstand the bumps and form reversal that is inevitable at times.

* Never fall in love with a player or a team. Be ruthless in your pursuit of winners.

NBA Playoffs 04/17/2011(more...)

This week I invite you to log in to the website go to the betting tips page and read the article relating to handicapping the NBA playoffs. Of course all the tools we use to handicap the NBA during the regular season are still relevant but this article will add a couple of additional tools specific to the 2 months of playoff basketball.

MLB Start 04/10/2011(more...)

It has been a lousy start to the MLB season .The key word “start”. In my 20+ years of doing this I have NEVER started any season of any sport as tough as this one has been. I have also NOT had a losing MLB season in 13 years and do not intend to have one this year.

Playoffs Upcoming 04/03/2011(more...)

~Playoffs upcoming~Reminder now that MLB has arrived. There is generally on Sunday’s especially a tighter lead time between the pick being posted to the site and the first pitch. It is important we see the starting line ups before risking our money. Who is playing who is resting from a night game followed by a day game?

Early on in the MLB season we will have days with no plays and then some days with many plays. This occurs until the starting and relief pitching rotations get into their regular routines. After this we will average 2-4 plays per day.

Play Ball!03/27/2011(more...)

~Platy Ball!~10-3 ( 76.9%) is our current run as we are having a decent March Madness. Good momentum building as we start in on a busy spring; NHL and NBA playoffs around the corner MLB about to start.

The sound of play ball will be shouted across ballparks as MLB gets going for real starting Thursday. The journey called MLB will lasts 7 months and takes us all the way to the end of October. MLB on average represents over one-third of our total dollars bet on a yearly basis. To say this sport is critical to our overall ROI bottom line yearly would be an understatement.
