St. Louis Blues over Phoenix Coyotes: Both teams have come out of the break losing their first 2 games. In fact Stl has not even scored a goal which is partially the reason this line is lower than it should be. This team is too talented too deep for that to continue.
Colorado Avalanche over Phoenix Coyotes: Tough spot for Phx against simply a better team that is not fully reflected in the line. Phx lost in Winn last night a tough hard fought 3-2 S/O. Now they have to go back to back on the road against a high tempo Col team playing in the altitude of Den.
Pittsburgh Penguins over Phoenix Coyotes: Pitts is getting healthy and rounding into form. Pitts has one of the best most explosive offenses in the league. Now they face a Phx team that has to struggle for everything they get especially on offense. Smith had 1 good year and that reputation including making team Canada has carried him.
Columbus Blue Jackets over Philadelphia Flyers: This is a very tough spot for Phil. This will be their 4th game in 6 nights after having to play an unscheduled game last night at home against Car due to the game being cancelled the night before due to weather.
Colorado Avalanche over Toronto Maple Leafs: Tor has now won 5 in a row keeping this line lower than it should be. However the same problems exist. Weak defense and getting outshot by a wide margin.
Tampa Bay Lightning over Calgary Flames: Right away we have a huge advantage in net with Bishop over Ramo. Tb has given up 2 goals or less in 8 out of their last 10 games. Cal has lost their last 3 in a row in a row at home losing by a total of 8-1. Tb is continuing to get healthy with Malone returning last game and Salo likely back tonight. That leaves Stamkos the remaining key piece to get back.
Los Angeles Kings over Nashville Predators: Lak have been off for the break of 5 days and that is not a good thing. As long as they can get through the 1st period we should be OK. Offsetting this regardless Nash played and lost last night in Dall.
Anaheim Ducks over Washington Capitals: Ana finishes off a 4 game road trip before the break. Ana has won 8 in a row. At this time of the year it is actually easier to play on the road than at home with the holiday distractions. We also have a strong western conference team going against an eastern much weaker conference team. In fact Wash has played the weakest schedule to date in the league.
Chicago Blackhawks over Toronto Maple Leafs: We have made a killing fading Tor this year whenever possible and will not stop as long as we can continue to get value. Chic has scored 19 goals in their last 3 games. Tor has been outscored 14-6 in their last 3 games. Tor has one of the weakest defenses in the NHL.
Los Angeles Kings over Toronto Maple Leafs: No surprise here for those of you that regularly follow the picks. The leafs continue to get outplayed outshot every game and if their goaltender does not stand on his head they lose simple as that. Lupul returns tonight however Phaneuf begins his 2 game suspension. Who on the leafs horrible defense is going to absorb those minutes.
