Edmonton Oilers over New Jersey Devils: Edm is off to a good start with new coach and GM. This team has obviously underperformed the last few years. If Edm gets ant type of decent goaltending and plays some defense with their offense they will make the playoffs. Edm has scored 14 goals in their forst 3 games. Conversely NJ over performed last year. They also do not look right early on after getting shut out 4-0 in Phil last night. Nj a team usually strong defensively has given up 16 goals in 3 games. I have this game at pick giving us excellent value.  

San Jose Sharks vs Nashville Predators

Nashville Predators over San Jose Sharks: This will be the 3rd consecutive home game for Nash. Beat Minn lost to Det with Saros in net. They dominated that game but weak goaltending cost them. For Sj this will be their 4th game in 6 nights with a rink change each time. Offense is struggling the club is banged up and Jones is again like last year struggling in net. Their first 3 games they have been outscored 12-3. This is a good team and they will turn it around just do not think it starts tonight. I have this game at 1.68 giving us excellent value.

Minnesota Vikings vs New York Giants

Minnesota Vikings over New York Giants: This is your typical buy low sell high situation. Minn stock is low. Cousins is getting roasted Thielen and Diggs are complaining with the 31st ranked pass offense. Look for them to get well today against a Nyg 25th ranked pass defense. What is being overlooked Rb Cook has rebounded nicely this year from injury leading a 3rd ranked rush offense going up against a Nyg 19th ranked rush defense. That brings us to the Nyg who have won 2 in row under Jones. The hype is on loud.

Troy Trojans vs Missouri Tigers

Troy Trojans-Missouri Tigers Over #339: Usually when you have a dog of this size they will want to run the ball grind the clock to stay close. Just the opposite with Troy. Barker is solid at Qb. Troy has a horrible defense. Missouri should be able to score at will. AS long as we get 14 points out of Troy we will cash. Both teams play fast. Troy has no rush offense they throw the ball almost every down. Troy defense is horrible especially against the pass. I have this game at 71.0 giving us excellent value.

Michigan State Spartans vs Ohio State Buckeyes

Michigan State Spartans #391 over Ohio State Buckeyes: This is obviously not a fade on Oh St. which is playing at another level so far than any team in college football. However you pay a premium to bet them to cover. Oh St has shown no weaknesses. Lewerke is a Sr. he will not be intimated by this situation. Mich St has the best run defense. D’antonio will have his team ready. What we have is a very big spread with a very low total indicating a low scoring game. This game will be much closer than expected. I have t priced at 16.5 giving us excellent value.

UTSA Roadrunners vs UTEP Miners

UTEP Miners #396 over UTSA Roadrunners: Not exactly a marque matchup value is value and the money is the same win as the Super Bowl. 2 very bad teams. UTEP has a winnable game at home and they will be motivated. UTEP weakness is pass defense but UTSA cannot throw the ball especially with backup QB Narcisse who is brutal. UTSA is 129th in rush defense and what UTEP can do is stop the run and rush on offense controlling the clock and grinding out a win. I have this game at 3.5 giving us excellent value.

Green Bay Packers vs Dallas Cowboys

Green Bay Packers over Dallas Cowboys: Both teams are off their 1st losses of the year. Gb lost to Phil at home with a -2 turnover. That was a Thurs night game so Gb gets extra rest prep time for this one. Dall lost on the road to NO on Sunday night so for them this will be a short week. Dall scored 10 in this game and it was the first decent defense they have faced. In fact Dall has played early on the easiest strength of schedule in the NFL. OT Smith is out for Dall and this will hurt.  Gb does need to shore up their rush defense but the extra time should help this issue.

Los Angeles Rams vs Seattle Seahawks

Los Angeles Rams over Seattle Seahawks: Yes it is Thursday night and the Lar are on the road but it is a short trip. Lar stock is way down after giving up 55 at home to Tb. Goff is struggling however they still have the 4th ranked pass off going up against a Sea pass defense ranked 16th. Sea at 3-1 is a false favorite even at home. While Lar have played the 6th ranked strength of schedule Sea comes in at 28th. I have this game at pick giving us excellent value. 

Washington Nationals vs Los Angeles Dodgers

Washington Nationals over Los Angeles Dodgers Best of 7 series: Wash was one of the hottest clubs in the second half and needed to be just to get in the playoffs. Lad were on cruise control for most of the year. Lad have the adv in the bullpen as the Wash bullpen has been their weakness the whole year. However on offense the gap is small both teams can smash. Starting pitching I actually give the edge to Wash. Corbin Sanchez is the weak link followed by Strasburg and Scherzer.

Northern Illinois Huskies vs Vanderbilt Commodores

Vanderbilt Commodores #162 over Northern Illinois Huskies: This is a buy low situation on Vandy. Vandy has played the toughest schedule so far in college football. They are 0-3 s/u and ATS vs. LSU Purdue and Georgia. They take a huge step down in class against N.ILL. Look for Vaughan to have a big day. I have this game at 9.5 giving us excellent value.
