Houston Rockets over Dallas Mavericks: Houst won the forst two games at home relatively easy. It will get tougher in Dall but I see Houst gradually pulling away in this one as well. Dall will come out strong but if Houst is able to weather that early storm the end result will not be in doubt coming down the stretch. Rondo is done and that may actually help Dall. Harris and Berra are expected to get the minutes. However the bigger loss will be of Parsons.
Houston Rockets over Oklahoma City Thunder: We get hot vs. cold as Houst is 9-2 s/u in their last 11 while OKC is 1-4 in their last 5. Okc playoff hopes are hanging by a thread and the injuries all through the year have really taken a toll.
Detroit Pistons over Chicago Bulls: We lost last time out with Det as they layed an egg in Charl. What that has done is elevate today’s line to where we again have value. No doubt Chic has the adv on the defensive end but on offense and rebounding those edges are minimal. For Det Jackson is hurting but looks like he will go while Hinrich does not look like he will go for Chic.
Detroit Pistons over Charlotte Hornets: Det is playing free and easy out of the playoffs but Van Gundy has them performing. Since the acquisition of Jackson they have improved off the Smith bad experiment and a disappointing year. This will be Det 3rd game in 4 days and no rest however this issue is fully accounted for in the line and then some.
Dallas Mavericks over San Antonio Spurs: This past Tues Dall beat SA as a home 3.5 pt dog 101-94 big game by Ellis. Revenge is an overrated concept that drives spreads the wrong way and this is what we have here.
Memphis Grizzlies over Portland Trail Blazers: Perhaps the markets are expecting a bounce back after Port lost in Orl last night and a let down by Mem after beating Dall last night I do not see it. The Mem offense is way better with Conley running the show.
Brooklyn Nets-Indiana Pacers Under: Look for 2 tired teams tonight with heavy legs. Both teams played last night and will be playing their 4th game in 6 nights. Brkly is also off a 3X OT game last night vs. Mil. Neither team even when rested pushes the pace.
Charlotte Hornets over Washington Wizards: The market continues to overvalue Wash. We went against them at home vs. Mia and won. Wash jumped out to a 35 point lead and hung on to win by 2 we covered. They then went to Mil and lost. Wash last s/u win on the road was Jan 27th against the lakers. Wash is 1-9 ATS in their last 10 and 4-13 s/u in their last 17. Charl was written off for dead when Walker went down. Given the situation in the east Charl is right in the thick of the playoff race.
Miami Heat over Washington Wizards: Everyone wrote Mia off when they lost Bosh. A look now and in the weak east they sit 7th. The focus for Mia is the backcourt of newly acquired Dragic and Wade plus the emergence of C Whiteside. Wash is 3-7 in their last 10 s/u. Now they are being asked to win at a margin against a team that is currently playing much better than them.
Chicago Bulls over Oklahoma City Thunder: This line has been over compensated for Chic loss of Rose and Butler. It did not stop Chic from beating Wash last time out. Brooks is a capable substitute and rookie Mirotic is also playing very well.
