However they are still be priced like how they were playing early in the year and that is not the case. Subban will likely get the start in net with Fluery out. Sj will not take this team lightly having lost to them twice already this year. Sj is in excellent form 5 wins in a row 8-2 in their last 10 scoring goals in bunches. I have this game at 1.50 giving us excellent value.
San Jose Sharks over Washington Capitals 1st 60 minutes ONLY: Wash concludes a 3 game west coast trip having lost first 2. We won with Sj Thurs night 2-0 over Stl and that score was flattering to Stl. Sj dominated that game from beg to end. Grubauer will likely get the start in net for Wash with Holtby struggling. Regardless on the road Wash is ranked 30th defensively going up against Sj ranked 9th in offense at home. Wash strength of schedule is 28th on the year while Sj. Is 17th. I have this game at 1.63 giving us excellent value.
San Jose Sharks over Saint Louis Blues 1st 60 minutes ONLY: Stl is 1-7-1 in their last 9. Their playoff hopes hanging by a thread. They have had 4 days off which is actually too long this late in the season. Last game Stl lost Boumeester and Upshall these injuries in my opinion not accurately reflected in the line. I have this line at 1.59 giving us excellent value.
Toronto Maple Leafs over Buffalo Sabres 1st 60 Minutes ONLY: Not often we lay this type of juice but tonight we still have value. Tor is off a bad performance against Wash in an outdoor game. I am expecting the focus to be there and a bounce back to occur. They will not take Buff lightly. Buff has the worst home record in the NHL. This is virtually a home game for Tor. There will be more Tor fans in the crowd than Buff fans. We also get a med adv in goal with Andersen facing Johnson. Tor has the 3rd ranked road off going up again Buff at home ranked 27th defensively.
Minnesota Wild over Saint Louis Blues 1st 60 Minutes ONLY: Minn has a big home away dichotomy. Minn has 4W in a row Stl has lost 6 in a row. Despite being 1 point out of a playoff position they traded Stastny to Winn yesterday. This tells you all you need to know about what mgmt thinks about how the team is currently comprised. Whether Allen or Hutton plays net they are fighting their confidence given each goal given up is critical with the offense struggling. I have this game at 1.55 giving us excellent value.
Philadelphia Flyers over Montreal Canadiens 1st 60 minutes ONLY: This time of year you will often hear me say 2 teams going in opposite directions. Mtl is playing out the string rebuilding. Phil has picked up at least a point in 11 straight going 9-0-2. Phil is working on seeding for the playoffs. Phil comes in with the 5th ranked road offense and 8th ranked defense. Conversely Mtl comes in ranked 19th on offense and 18th on defense at home. Lindgren will get the start in net for Mtl as they take an extended look at what he can do while Mrazek gets the start for Phil.
Philadelphia Flyers over New York Rangers 1st 60 minutes ONLY: Very tough spot for Nyr playing in Ott yesterday aft and now a really early start at home today. This will be their 4th game in 6 days with a rink change each time. Cluster injuries to an already weak defense. A very disappointing year with virtually everyone on the roster available for the right trade. I have tis game at 1.45 giving us excellent value.
Minnesota Wild over Washington Capitals 1st 60 minutes ONLY: Minn is 10-0-3 in their last 13 games. Minn is #1 in def at home while Wash is 28th defensively on the road. This game opened at 1.57 given Holtby would start and it only moved 4 cents when it was announced that Grubauer will start. Grubauer is a decent back-up but Holtby is worth more than the line has been adjusted. Wash comes in 28th in strength of schedule while Minn is 10th. I have this game at 1.76 giving us excellent value.
Saint Louis Blues over Buffalo Sabres 1st 60 Minutes ONLY: Stl is coming off a flat performance in Bost. I fully expect a bounce back against a bad Buff team. Buff is 31st dead last in home offense. Buff is 1-13 vs. top 10 teams. Only 2 teams Ariz and Ott are worse overall statistically. Stl is healthier than they have been all year. These 2 teams played in Stl on Dec Dec 10 with Stl winning 3-2 in OT. That score was misleading with Stl outshot Buff 45-24. Hutton has taken over the #1 spot in goal. Since Dec 30 he is 8-1-1. We get a huge adv in net with Hutton over Lehner.
Anaheim Ducks over Ottawa Senators 1st 60 Minutes ONLY: Ana is healthier than at anytime this year making their YTD stats misleading. I am expecting a big 2nd half from Ana with some value to show. Ana has won 3 in a row Ott has lost 6 in a row. Henrique has been a very good addition. Ott leading scorer Stone is out. Ott has cluster injuries at centre and defense. Theses injuries have not been accurately reflected in the line. Ott has the 31st ranked defense at home. Ana has the 5th ranked PP on the road going up against the Ott 30th ranked PK at home.
