Pittsburgh Penguins over Philadelphia Flyers 60 Minutes ONLY: Phil continues to experience the same problems weak defense and goaltending. We get a med adv with Fleury vs. Mason. Crosby is back and that obviously helps. Despite the juice on the road I have his game at 1.46 giving us excellent value.

Edmonton Oilers over Vancouver Canucks 60 Minutes ONLY: Both teams are off to very good starts. Edm has won 4 in a row and off a self-called bench mark win at home over Wash. I simply do not see a let down here. Biggest improvement for Edm has come on the defensive side. Chances are being limited Talbot is playing great in goal and they are still maintaining their offensive edges. ON the other side with Vanc it is more smoke and mirrors. They have lost 3 in a row after starting 4-0. However 3 of those 4 wins were in OT and they were all by 1 goal.

Carolina Hurricanes over Philadelphia Flyers 60 minutes ONLY: Car will play game 5 of an opening season 6 game road trip because of a state fair at home. Car has collected points in 3 out of their 4 games. As long as Car gets solid goaltending and going with Lack there is a better chance of that this team is going to do well. Phil has lost 3 in a row incl their home opener against Ana. Year after year this team has the same issue slow moving defensemen and weak goaltending. This year is no different. I have this game at 1.05 giving us excellent value.

Arizona Coyotes over Ottawa Senators 60 Minutes ONLY: Ariz has only played one game so far a home OT win against Phil. This Ariz team has depth and Talent and for the most part stays under the radar given where they play. This will be game one of a 6 game road trip and generally all teams have their best game at the start of a road trip. Meanwhile Ott will play their 3rd in 4 after losing in Det last night 5-1. Ott has one very strong line and stud defensemen. Unlike Ariz they lack quality depth. I have this game at 1.05 giving us excellent value.

Tampa Bay Lightning over Detroit Red Wings 60 Minutes ONLY: TB maybe the most complete team heading into this season. The gang is back plus Stamkos Headman signed to long term deals. Det and their run of 25 seasons to post season will be challenged this year. Datsyuk is gone. The back end is weak. They have key injuries to start the year and although Zetterberg will play his knee has been bothering him all pre-season. If this game were played deeper in the season the line would be well over 2.00.

San Jose Sharks over Saint Louis Blues Adj Best of 7 Series Price: Stl continues to be overvalued. Sj has been the better team in 5 of the 6 periods to date. Sj has not had a good home record during the regular season but it has been a different story in the playoffs.

Pittsburgh Penguins to Win the Cup: Pitts is favored over TB -1.93 to win the conf finals. There is no value in that number. However I obviously feel they will get by TB. Depending on whom they meet in the west we may just let this bet ride or there will be opportunities to leverage.

Saint Louis Blues over Dallas Stars Including OT: Stl has a chance to go up 3-1 and take a stranglehold on this series like they did in the 1st round vs. Chic. However this round they have actually taken a step down in class. Yes Dall has an excellent offense but in the playoffs that adv is minimized.

Pittsburgh Penguins over Washington Capitals Best of 7 Series Bet: Wash has home ice adv so yes if this goes 7 it may help. However home ice at this time of year is overrated. See Ana last night. We cashed Pitts a number of times in their series against Nyr. That series was a mismatch and allowed Murray to get comfortable with playoff hockey. Needless to say he looks really good and is obviously the real deal. Even if Fluery were healthy it is Murrays’ net to lose. Wash is a very good team they had an excellent regular season.

New York Islanders over Florida Panthers Including OT: A chance for Nyi to close this out at home rather than going to Flor for a game 7. Now just because a team has to or must win does not mean they do. So that is not the focal point of our bet.
