Arkansas Razorbacks over Texas A&M Aggies: A ranked team at home with an explosive offense you will always be paying a premium to bet on. Tex A/M is a good team not great who has played very weak competition so far. Ark lost their opening game to Auburn. Since then they have won 3 in a row outscoring opponents 174-49.
Utah State Aggies over Arkansas State Red Wolves: Part of the reason for the line is the uncertainty surrounding QB for UT St. Keeton is banged up and even if he cannot go Garretson although not as talented is experienced and capable. Ut St is simply the better team even on the road.
North Carolina Tar Heels over East Carolina Pirates: EC is off a huge win over V.Tech this is a prime letdown spot for them.
Florida Atlantic Owls over Tulsa Golden Hurricane: This will be the first road game of the year for Tul while it will also be the home opener for Flor-Atl. All indications it will also be the return of QB Johnson after him sitting out last week with a shoulder injury.
Michigan State Spartans over Oregon Ducks: #6 travels to #4 in a contrast of styles. Both these teams look to be in the mix for a spot in the 4 team playoff. High powered high speed top offense org is tough to prepare for. However Mich St. had a cupcake last week a bye on tap and then E.Mich. In other words they have game planned for this team since spring.
Miami/Florida Hurricanes over Louisville Cardinals: Both teams will have uncertainty at the QB position. Kaaya will start for Mia while Garder replaces the departed Bridgewater. Part of the reason this line is where it is because of last year’s bowl result. I say big deal too many changes on both teams for it to have an impact on this game.
Northwestern Wildcats over California Golden Bears: Not often especially in week 1 that I will lay this type of lumber however the line has been coming down all week and I think it is the wrong move. Cal will reside in the basement of the PAC 12 again this year. They play no defense. They do not travel well. Dykes was a poor hire and is in over his head.
Temple Owls over Vanderbilt Commodores: This line is based on last year’s results and for the first game of the season it is simply too many points. It is not often you have a QB advantage taking this many points. However that is what we have with Walker vs. Robinette. In addition Tem has a much better running game than Vandy.
Michigan State Spartans over Ohio State Buckeyes: The 12-0 Oh St team is overvalued. They have played weak competition and have never faced a defense they are about to face today. Mi St has the best defense in the nation.
Missouri Tigers over Auburn Tigers: To say off the miracle win Aub had over Ala that there may be a letdown is an understatement.
