Cincinnati Bengals over Pittsburgh Steelers: The unknown in this game obviously will be McCarron. I do expect him to at least manage the game and avoid mistakes. If he does this Cinci should win. The line has been over compensated for Dalton out who has never proven himself in the playoffs anyway.
Houston Texans over Kansas City Chiefs: The markets are focused on the 10 wins in a row and that is not to take anything away from Kc after a 1-5 start that is great. However should they be favored on the road in Houst no way. Houst had Qb issues all year depressing their results however is no worse than Smith and besides it is the defense just like in Kc that carries these teams.
Green Bay Packers over Minnesota Vikings: This is a buy low opportunity. GB after being blown out in Ariz is as low as they can go. Minn has only beat one team with a winning record.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers over Carolina Panthers: This is a lot of points for a divisional game. TB has received 6+ points 3 times this year and are 3-0. Car does not have an explosive offense so spotting this type of points with them is very risky.
Detroit Lions over Chicago Bears: This is one game that no implications towards the playoffs. However the money is the same with a winning ticket on this game or the Super Bowl. Det started off the year severely underachieving. Their playoff hopes were gone by mid-season. However in their last 7 they have gone 5-2 s/u. The team likes and plays hard for Caldwell so I am expecting a solid effort from them to close out the season on a high note.
Denver Broncos over Cincinnati Bengals: Much is on the line for both teams but Cinci was helped big time from the loss of Pitts yesterday. McCarron vs. Osweiler who would have thunk it. McCarron was good enough to get by SF last week but tonight will be a totally different animal. Cinci ground game is struggling TE Eifert is out and now McCarron goes up against the #1 defense against the run against the pass and in sacks.
Saint Louis Rams over Seattle Seahawks: Can Sea win by more than this spread of course they can. Will they is an entirely different question. Sea is pretty well locked in to their playoff spot.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers over Chicago Bears: For regular readers know I am high on this TB team who I feel is headed in the right direction. The markets are down on this team who have lost 2 in a row to sub 500 teams.
Denver Broncos over Pittsburgh Steelers: This line is simply an overreaction to last week’s results. I have this game at 4.0 giving us excellent value. Den was losing at home to Oak. Pitts was beating up on Cinci however Dalton was knocked out of that game in the first half.
Washington Redskins over Buffalo Bills: Why should Buff be favored in Wash. They should not so we get value. We lost with Buff last time out penalties killed them and their undisciplined play has hurt them all year. Wash has a big game on deck next week vs. Phil but they can ill afford to look ahead.
