Detroit Lions over Dallas Cowboys: Dall is an anemic 29th on offense and 31st in pass offense. Making matters more difficult Det is ranked 1st in pass defense. If Dall is to move the ball at all it will be with Elliot on the ground. Dall lacks any deep threats regardless. Dall has offensive line issues and add to this key line backer Lee is out. Det has been an under achieving team going back at least 2 years. The dominating win over NE last week can be a turning point.
Cincinnati Bengals-Carolina Panthers Under: MIxon is out for Cinci and he has been a key offensive contributor so far both running and receiving. Bernard is also banged up. Car as of this time is down 3 starting offensive linemen. Car will have trouble running the ball today. Both these teams played high scoring games last time out causing this total to be inflated. Cinci comes in with extra prep rest time as well. Early on Cinci is playing at a pace ranked 22nd while Car checks in at 18th. I have this game at 42.0
San Francisco 49’ers over Kansas City Chiefs: Not often I want to get in front of an on coming train but these inflated points gives us value. Not taking anything away from Mahomes and the KC offense they are dynamic explosive and obviously very good. However game 3 this will be the best defense they will see to date. What is being overlooked is how bad the Kc defense is. 28 points given up to the chargers and 37 to Pitts. Sf has the 2 key components you look for in a dog on the road this size. A good defense with LB Foster returning which will help.
Miami Dolphins over New York Jets: The legend that is Darnold grows after his Monday night performance. He threw a pick 6 on his first throw kept his composure and played decent. The whole football world watched. However like usual that is just the surface. He threw for only 198 yards. Nyj won against a flat Det team that looked awful. Nyj had a +3 turnover adv. Det marched up and down the field but either could not complete a drive or turned it over. All of this has the Nyj overrated for this divisional game. Mia is off a good win at home vs. Tenn.
Baltimore Ravens-Cincinnati Bengals Under: This is a divisional game which generally leads to lower scoring close competitive since the teams know each other so well. Next Balt must travel on a short week. Balt put up 47 on Buff at home and that has a big influence on this line. Balt was not that impressive on offense it was more a facor of how bad Buff is. Cinci scored 34 in Indi but they were aided by turnovers. Green is still a facor however what is being over looked is how good the Cinci defense is.
Denver Broncos over Seattle Seahawks: It is tough playing in the altitude of Den anytime but the first game of the year even harder. Den will be very good on defense. Qb Keenum although not spectacular is solid and dependable. He has skill around him and should get time to throw. Sea is a fraction of what they were. Wilson although very good and mobile has a weak OL in front of him. Miller should have a field day for Den. The Sea running game is suspect. Most importantly the Sea defense is a shadow of its former self.
Houston Texans over New England Patriots: These 2 teams battled last year on this field NE was a 13.5 point fav as they won a thriller 36-33. That was the coming out party for Houst QB Watson. He is back and he is healthy. Supported on offense by WR Hopkins and RB Miller. However the big adv for Houst is back to a healthy defense. Anchored by Watt and supported by Mercilus and Clowney. This group should put enough pressure on Brady to give him some problems. I know NE every year other than Brady the names change the results remain.
Arizona Cardinals over Dallas Cowboys: We have started off our NFL 2-0 and again we will play the money line for NFLX tonight. Coach Wilks is off to a good start as the new coach of Ariz. All news is that there will be no Prescott or Elliot tonight for Dall. The strength of the team the offensive line has cluster injuries. I definitely like the back up QB’s for Ariz Rosen and Kanoff over Rush and White.
Minnesota Vikings over Denver Broncos: Yes much of the news is Siemian returning to Den. Big deal! He was not good than and he is not good now. However that does not mean Minn does not provide us with value. Cousins will be the starter this year in Minn. He will likely not play tonight. Siemian will get lots of time to prove to Den they made a mistake plus he is better than the back-ups Den has. Den starters are expected to see 1-2 series. Most importantly what is important about this game coach Zimmer likes to set a winning tone in pre-season.
Indianapolis Colts over Seattle Seahawks: New coach in Indi that being Frank Reich. New coaches like to get off to a good start regardless of the venue or opponent. Luck will play a good deal of the 1st quarter along with the starters. Brissett a capable back-up will be next followed by Kaaya and Walker fighting for the 3rd spot. Sea is a team in full transition especially on defense. Based on past reputation they will likely be overvalued especially early in the season. Indi on the money line offering plus money is the value.
